Ammar Saati

MD, FACP, FSVM

Dr. Ammar Saati earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He completed his first internal medicine residency at King Khalid National Guard Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he served as chief resident in his final year. After relocating to the United States, he completed a second internal medicine residency with CHS at the University at Buffalo, NY, once again serving as chief resident.

Following residency, Dr. Saati worked as a hospitalist at Kent Hospital, Care New England, and as Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Brown University in Warwick, RI, for five years. He then pursued specialized training in point-of-care ultrasound at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia before completing a vascular medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. He subsequently joined Cleveland Clinic as a Vascular Medicine staff physician and the POCUS Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Saati specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular, venous, and lymphatic diseases, with a particular focus on chronic venous insufficiency. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive vein procedures, including sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, endovenous laser ablation, and ambulatory microstab phlebectomy. He is a strong advocate for the use of point-of-care ultrasound to enhance patient outcomes.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the Society for Vascular Medicine (FSVM), as well as a member of the American Vein & Lymphatic Society. He is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and holds multiple board certifications, including:
• American Board of Internal Medicine
• American Board of Vascular Medicine
• Diplomate, American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine

Outside of work, Dr. Saati enjoys spending time with his wife, Kholoud, and their son, Aasir.
Dr. Saati has been recognized for his dedication to education and patient care, receiving multiple awards, most recently:
• 2024 – Vascular Medicine Teacher of the Year Award, Cleveland Clinic
