Dr. Hansen is a graduate of the prestigious Mayo Medical School in affiliation with the Mayo Clinic.  After his Residency at Bowman Gray Medical School in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Hansen furthered his education and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, the highest certification amongst specialists treating venous disease.  From that time on, Dr. Hansen dedicated his professional career to treating patients with venous and lymphatic disorders.  In 2014, Dr. Hansen established the Carolina Vein Associates Vein Center and has more recently worked for the nationally renowned Vein Clinics of America.  In both of these roles, Dr. Hansen has shown he is truly an expert in the field of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.  Dr. Hansen was born in South Dakota.  He is married and has 3 children.  His hobbies include distance running (completing over 12 marathons), playing the piano, winter snow skiing, and travel with his wife Mary Kay.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, a Registered Phlebology Sonographer, a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic society, and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Dr. Hansen has achieved the highest qualifications to treat venous disorders.
