Patients and families,
We are continuing to serve our patients at Central Florida Vein and Vascular Centers and are executing the following precautions to maintain patient and staff safety.
All of our staff are healthy, and if they are not, even if their symptoms are not COVID-19 related, we encourage them not to work in the office. Certainly anyone that has traveled outside of the US or has been exposed to someone that has tested positive for the virus is quarantined off premises for 14 days. Each staff member is diligent about personal hygiene with frequent hand washing and disinfecting their work areas. Each office is diligent in disinfecting patient care areas after every encounter. At the end of every day, we do a deep clean to further protect against the transmission of COVID-19.
All patients that come to the office for care are triaged as to their risk for harboring illness, COVID-19 itself, or exposure to anyone with COVID-19. Anyone not meeting the accepted criteria are asked to come back at another time. With regards to our Health Central Office, while we are adjacent and connected to the hospital we are not subject to the same infectious risks as being in the hospital setting. We are a separate office building, and rest assured that no staff or providers are in the hospital proper seeing patients or performing procedures. The entrance to the Medical Office Building at Health Central has screening which includes a required hand sanitization, mask and temperature check before anyone even enters the building.
As you can see, we are taking every precaution we can. We believe that providing care under these circumstances is safe.
